I asked the same shit over and over again. Don't worry man. These are the mods you should start out with in my opinion.

-FTVB (Factory Tech Valve Body) Firms up the shifts and prolongs the life of the Trans.
-6# Lower Pulley
-Oil Catch Can (2nd Most Important)
-Exhaust
-Intake
-Tune
-Lowering Kit

With those mods there you're looking at a 12.6 - 12.8 Lightning with a DR. I had Kurgan tune mine with those mods listed on the STOCK MAF. I did WOT runs in 40* weather and never blew a plug or had any issues. Speed Inc took care of the installs also. GL!

Well...Right now, I have a catback and cold air....
I was planning on midpipe, headers, 4lb lower, lowering kit, and a tune and be done with it. If that could get me 13.0 with a tire.... I'll be happy

Yeah. You'll be set. I would really think about the oil catch can and the FTVB though. You can ask any other Lightning owners they are the best bang for the buck.

Skrat,

You should come out to Byron on the 31st and see what other Lightning owners have done. Talking to them could help you get the performance you want and save you a lot. See the lILLNESS section in the local clubs portion of the NLOC.net forums for details. Hope to see you there.

you know, here's my 2 cents, I bought the LFP stage 3 package (4lb lower pulley), valve body, TVS suspension, JLP t-bars, headers, bassanni catback, Chickenears CAI (ram air style), meth injection and some other odds and ends and here were my numbers:
http://chicagosvt.com/forums/showthread.php?t=27895

total came out to be like $6000,00 if I remember correctly and for those numbers was it really worth it? I was happy as shit when bob tuned it though. However, if I had to do it all over again I'd do thing differently. Free mods I would do:
port s/c
port t/b (unless you're making some good numbers those big TB's aren't going to do much but give you a hissing sound)
port top plenum

I would get a 6 lb lower and a catback and a tune, this would cost a fraction of what I paid. I would save the rest to build my bottom end up (with labor would probably run you around $3,000) save a little more, buy a used KB or whipple and boost the crap out of that.

you will see number twice as high as mine for a little over what I paid.

I just went throught the entire classifieds section for gen 2s on the NLOC forum and only found 1 ad for this exact throttle body. They were asking 275...this sounds fair to me as it was a almost 500 when i bought it and new now they still go for around 400 plus i honestly dont think i have more than 15k on it....right above that add they had one for the C&L upper for 175 just as an fyi...i work 8-5 monday through friday but would be willing to meet somewhere anytime after 5
