Heat exchanger Q

car is f'd, heat exchanger has a nice hole in it. went for an oil change, saw resivoir was empty. went to ford to buy the juice. filled it up in parking lot. threw $15 all over the ground. $150 to have it looked at, who knows if its covered under warranty. if its not (dont think it will be) im not puttin a stock one back in. was thinkin of doin this one http://www.lightningforceperformance.com/lfp-extreme-dual-pass-intercooler-heat-exchanger-200304-cobra-p-319.html good one to go with? car is stock other than exhaust

I say just get the biggest one that will fit in there, I have a Ron Davis Heat Exchanger, but there are many other good quality H/E.

Just make sure you get all the air out of the cooling system, it can be a bit of a pain on these cars.

stock ones go for around 40-60 bucks.

if you really feel like getting an aftermarket one then i would go with Gords, Afco, or Fluidyne. NO LFP.

IIRC, aren't the stockers pretty good unless your making some decent power (550+)?

from what i heard they copy everyone else and their welds suck. i run the lfp for 2 years now and not a single problem.
