Oil pressure gauge question

I noticed that my oil pressure gauge does not show any fluctuation when revving the engine. Is this normal? If I remember correctly on all other cars that I had as the rpm increases so would the oil pressure. When I start the car up, it goes a bit past the center part and then it just stays there. This normal?

Ford is not like that, it will shoot up to normal and that just shows you have oil pressure, wont fluctuate...

Yes its normal, the stock gauge sucks...
When I had my Cobra I had the stock gauge and a Autometer gauge. The autometer gauge would always be moving around, going up when I give it some gas, and going down low when at idle...The stock gauge would never even move, just stay right in the middle...

It does the same thing with the factory water temp gauge too...

sweet, thanks all. I was not sure if there was maybe a way for this to be bypassed (by previous owner/realership) to cover up an underlying problem.

:lmao: it's more of a dummy oil gauge and I'm the dummy... My troopers gauge is the correct type as you move it goes up. Shouldn't be an underlying issue
