Last tank I went 295 miles on before filling up with 12.8 gallons. Comes out to a little over 23mpg. It was about 240 highway, 55 city stop and go.

My car has consistently gotten better gas mileage modded than it ever did stock. I never would have imagined gaining 130rwhp/120rwtq and getting significantly better gas mileage at the same time.

thats because the engine struggles less to move the car from a stop, and thus the engine doesnt waste as much fuel.

thats why trucks do terrible. 300 hp may be good to move a 3500 lb car, but 300 hp is terrible to move a 7k lb truck.

2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee, 4.0 L, ave. 17 mpg
2004 Nissan Altima, 2.5L, ave. 26 mpg

Both vehicles are well maintained and tire pressure in the front is maximum, while the rear is two lbs lighter.

I need to dump that Jeep, pick up a Toyota Pruis, perform their fuel consumption tricks/upgrades and ave. 50 - 60 mpg.

i dunno how you 03-04 cobra guys are getting above 17. if i do only highway driving (i drive like an ass too and i love the sound of my car) i can get MAYBE 18mpg but thats only happened once since ive owned her. i usually get 15 and sometimes dips down into 13's. granted my car does have some wear on here with 65k miles but i just cant see averaging that high of mileage
