Drop the k member and get it out of the way.

+1

You can also mark the K so that you know where it was prior to taking it off. Line for line! Wheel alignment may be necessary even with marking the Position of the K prior to removing it.

If you can afford it....buy a new lighter tubular K and Arms since you will already be down there doing all that work.

BBK's website says you can just jack the motor up a few inchs and get them in that way also.

yea, you are a brave soul for doing it on the floor with jackstands. you will swear quite a bit for this project for sure. but as everyone is saying it is easier to drop the kmember from underneath and lower the motor. you can leave the motor attatched to the kmember and lower that way as well but it's harder to do. you should only have to remove a couple of coolant lines.. your ac lines will be the limiting factor on how far you can get the motor out of the bay. also please get locking headder bolts. you don't want to have any back their way out belive you me......

Factory manifolds FTW:headbang: Headers are so not worth the time or the money, imo for the little gain. Unless you just wanna sound different than anyone else. Good Luck.

Their isn't any gain. Only reason for headers is heat dispensation and sound. Id suggest 'em for any big boost stock engine cobra. With LT's and nascar cams, my car sounds wild...
