Would the Mazdaspeed3 Motor fit in it?

Yes it would fit. It would actually bolt right in.

Ford used the 2.3 duratec in some 03 and 04 focus, and also used it in the 05+ Focus st. Also from 05+ the focus all have 2.0 duratecs as the base engine family.

The 2.3 mazdaspeed3 motor is of the same engine family as the ford motor so it will bolt in. You will however need a lot of other parts to make the swap work, like a proper mtx75 from a focus, and a whole mess of other parts.

It would cost in excess of 10,000.

The svt focus can't be made fast without FI. But With Fi they are very fun, very fast, and very reliable. The connecting rods used in the svt focus are quite strong(forged), the pistons are a hyperutectic, but are strong and do like boost They don't like heat though, they never break, but i have seen some pics of them melted.

On an svt foucs, with just a turbo kit and exhaust, we made 296 whp 245 tq. Stock motor, still had room to grow.

The stock clutch didn't like that power level though.

Turbo the svt, don't swap.
