has any1 ever replaced the studs that come out of the pass-side exhaust/header? was removing my x-pipe to put cats on for emissions and the dick head that put it on crossed threaded one of the nuts going on. I have only 1 nut on it know no leak but I have to fix it. Do the studs screw in or are they presssed it? That for any input. Tom

do not think that will work considering there would not be enough room to hold the bolt to tighten it.

its screwed in. generally when you change the factory x pipe you sould replace the studs with longer ones depending on the fit of the x pipe. napa carries them, advance auto also. they r like $7 if I remember correctly.

The studs screw in and are IMPOSSIBLE to get out it seems. I fought with mine all day yesterday. I have a thread going too, check out the suggestions/pics. Not sure if mine is the same design as yours, but if it is ur in for alot of cussing and wrench throwing.

How did you try to remove them? What I did was I screwed the nut back on the stud as tight as I could and then I broke it loose. But then again my car only had like 10k on it when i did it so it wasnt all rusted on completly. I feel your pain though man good luck keep wrenchin.

I am going to get it red hot and just unscrew it. the car only has 18,000 miles not much rust on the bolt, its just the asshole that put the pipe on crossthreaded it going on. So when I took it off that was it.
