Pulled my cobra out of the driveway today and saw a pretty nice pile of gear oil...i belive my seal in the rear (end that is) is leaky. I'm pretty sure you gotta pull the whole irs out to change the oil & gasket??? If i do im gonna thorw a billet flow brace and bushings in there...anything else you can think of to help the irs out?

I had the same problem a month ago. I brought mine to joe rizza ford in tinley park and it was covered under the warrenty. Yes they do have to drop the irs or at least they did for mine. Since then I put the bullet flow brace on and I have had no more problems. :biggthump

Its an embarassing problem, but there are medications to help you. Good luck.

you dont have to drop the whole Irs you can pull the half shafts out, driveshaft and pull out the diff by its self.

Ford replaced the seal once and the second time they just threw some gasket sealer stuff all over it and it has been fine since. Both time done, under warranty.
