Do I need to de-pressurize the system at all? Ho would I do it?

thanks.

I unplugged the wire harness going the fuel cutoff button in the trunk, then started the car and let it die.

I read that off of one of the forums, and it worked pretty well.

You are still gonna get gas all down your arm and into your armpit though, LOL.

Fuggin IRS makes swapping the filter a PITA. Hardest part was removing the hose clamp. Ford put the screw in an damn near impossible place to reach.

Ohh and you need a fuel line disconnect tool. I think it is 5/16th.

When you are done... cycle the ignition/pumps before restarting the car.

That's all the tips I got. Have fun. :D

Go ahead. I'll catch up.

Pull the fuel pump fuse or disconnect the battery. There should be a fuel pressure relief valve somewhere in the engine compartment. On the '03/'04 Cobras, it's by the front passenger side of the blower. I'm not sure where it is on your car. Looks sort of like a tire fill valve.

Edit-I see Carl beat me to it. His method will work too.
