Tips on removing fill plug from coolent crossover tube

Someone have any tips on making this easier. I already broke the square drive off on of my 1/4 drive ratchets. And now with the 2nd ratchet, its starting to round out the square hole in the plug. How do I get this out?

Just busted the 1/4" drive tip off my 3/8" to 1/4" adapter.

Use a very long extension to get more torque. Once you get it out, don't wrench tighten it. There's an o-ring that seals so it doesn't have to be more than hand tight and maybe a little nudge from a wrench.

Well i got it out. Decided to let the car run to heat it up some. Was able to break it loose while hot. Ill wait for the car to cool down before removing it.

The plug looks like shit now. The inside is all deformed and almost round. The outside it all chewed from when I tried to grab the outside lip with vicegrips.

Buy a new plug and weld a nut to it so it's easier to remove next time.
