Cobra R Brakes vs. Stock 03 Rims...

Will the stock 03 rims clear the Cobra R brake calipers?

I am looking to upgrade the brakes soon and have been looking at Brembo, Baer and others, but the Cobra R just seems like a nice bang for the buck upgrade all around. I want to transition the Cobra brakes to replace the horrid brakes on the Thunderbird, but would like to keep from having to buy new rims and tires.

Anyone on here know for sure if the Ford Racing Cobra R brake kit clears the stock 03/04 rims?

Yes... there are a couple guys on here running the cobra R front brakes and have no problems with stock wheels.

yes they will and you might want to hold you're jaw after you put them on, they look bamf.

I've been looking at Baer, Brembo and other brands for a while and glanced at the Cobra-R system not knowing it was a full Brembo kit and not just rotors..

they clear the 95r wheel, the 03/04 five spoke, and the 10th anniversary wheel. basically all ford mustang 9" or wider wheels.

Our cars are not equipped with four piston calipers... makes a big difference (when stopping).
