Mine reads about 20 inches at idle.

Check for kinks in the line... but also check the two gold screws coming out of the back.... for some reason mine would slide back in to the gauge and throw off the reading. I put 2 of the included nuts on the screws to keep them from sliding back in and I have not had a problem since.

Thanks, I fixed it, the dumb ass I am, I forgot to zip tie the T where I tied in. It now reads 20 inches at idle.
