This spring I'll be modding the Cobra a bit more. I have Steeda Sport springs,Magnaflow catback,Steeda CAI, and a predator tune from RWTD.

I just got my 2.76 upper, four idlers, and IRS brace from Billetflow but will I need cooling mods? I really only do 2nd and 3rd gear pulls when the coast is clear and not even every time I drive it. It wont realistically see a strip or track either. i always tell myself that I'll go one day but it never happens.

I just dont want to end up dropping $18K on a liquid nitrogen system when I dont need it although i can get the nitrogen for free.. I've been looking but everyone has thier own opinion so I thought I'd ask here. I trust you guys since most of you had had two of everything on at one point or another. :p

Any guidance or direction for me to start reading up would be appreciated.

In general, the cooler you can keep the engine, the longer it will last. Individual experiences may vary... :D

The valve guides loosen up over time causing the "tick" and more heat doesn't help them last any longer. Modded Terminators' engines can also get hot enough to melt the pistons. The various cooling mods are relatively cheap insurance to help keep temps in a safer range. Of course, track cars [especially road course cars] need them a lot more than a mildly driven street car.

I actually mentioned liquid Nitrogen cooling to Dan and Lyle. :biggthump

Put a tank in the trunk, a small vaporizer under the car, and pipe it into and around the engine.
