burping cooling system?

fill the system from the plug in the crossover tube. fill until the tank reads full and the the water is to the top of the crossover. then plug the system and fire it up. there should be no air in it. many a folk have siezed a mod motor doing this incorrectly. as there is a large air pocket in the front hose that does not fill or smother the thermostat in water. thust it will not open. overheating the engine

The first part is dead on. Fill it from the cross over, you can open it using a 1/4" extension. Then fill the system with the car off untill coolant stops bubbling. Then start and idle the car until it reaches maximum temperture (center of the R in normal). Then cap the system, make sure the resevoir to the HOT FULL mark and drive it about five miles. Check the system level and you're good to go. :)
