check this out, it is on ford racings site as well. Has the tech of the FIPK kit but a filter that has more surface area (hollowed out center) and a BOX, plastic clear removeable top ... and inlet pipe! If this is truely for our cars, this could be one of the best intakes out there and I'll drop my FIPK for it....

*UPDATE*

S&B filters tells me the filter on the kit runs 700 CFM. Maybe the filter IS too small, I found this on Modfords: "The stock K&N filter flows 1000 cfm and is probably good for applicaltions up to 16-17 psi, any more than that it will start to restrict flow and its a good idea to get a bigger filter."

That's pretty sharp, but I think I still like my 12"JLT CAI more. If I wasn't running 19psi I probably would go with it.

Confirmed :) hole is supposedly on the fender side as well as the front. Winner.

Install details here so you can see the box: http://www.arsrecordings.com/75-2545.pdf

For those concerned about the small filter, the inside of the filter has filter element, it's got a hole down the center. That should make up for the size, should be comparable to the FIPK with cooler intake temps when it gets hot and a smoother line to the TB. WINNER!!!!

See.... it's too stubby... just like I said. :D :joke:
