Hi, Just bought a 96 Cobra with 70k miles and was just wondering if 10w30 Casrol motor oil would be fine to use because of the milage or Do I need 5w30 or 20?

5w30 Pennzoil is a nice (detergent oil) :biggthump
may even want to think about synthetic (to keep her going longer) :headbang:

John actually turned me on to that place a year or so ago. It's nice knowing exactly what is in your oil. You sure don't want to push your car to it's limit if you have traces of anti-freeze or excessive amounts metal in the oil.

I think I paid $25 for the test, but it gave peace of mind knowing my engine was sound while I had the pedal to metal on some of those long straights :headbang:

If you got oil consumption switch to 10W-30. I would say 1qt every three thousand stick with 5-30. More than that go to a thicker weight. Remember it takes 6qts.

I use Royal purple 5w30
next oil change will be with mobil 1 10w30, as the mobil 1 5w30 is more like other brands 0w30. kinda thin.
my car has 38k miles.
