Front Cover for an 03 Cobra

With winter coming, I am thinking about putting some kind of front cover on the car to help protect against paint chipping.

Below is a site with some options (mini-mask or full front cover)

I have been told that salt can get caught under a front type of cover, which may result in paint damage or rust.

You should check out XPEL. It is a 3M clear adhesive (clear bra) that is custom cut for your car. Everyone that has used it raves about it, though a little pricey.

Dave, this is the company I ordered from and had someone install it for me about 1 1/2 weeks ago. I ordered the full kit minus the the cab top (I also have a convert). Kit looks great

Also, from what I remenber in the past, full bra's trap moisture (rain, snow) which can affect your paint.

Invisible bra or nothing. Front end cover will ruin the paint over time from moisture and debris being trapped.

Don't ride to close to other cars (avoids chips etc.) rock salt *

and keep a good coat of wax on the car :biggthump

If you need it, I can re-paint it in the spring :-o

Thank you all for your feedback...

Seeing that the car receives limited miles to and from work, I am going to opt for back roads and drive further back from the car in front.

The car has received 3 coats of wax this year so, hopefully that will help.
