No more hop

No more hop the other day when I got on it. First time ever just about. Not sure what helped more, Mathis brackets, warm weather or 00R springs and shocks in the rear. Almost feels strange to let out that clutch, spin the tires and no hop...

Isn't it cool? I'm enjoying less hop, too. I think the brackets do help. Of course, 90 degree days help, too. When the temps get below 40, the hop will return.

I do, but they did not eliminate the hop. They may have increased the freq. of the hop and lowered the amplitude. I only listed the recent stuff cause it was never completely gone until the recent stuff. My rear has been gone over, the front is like a virgin.

The hop was there until the brackets/shocks/springs were installed. Like Cliff said, it will probably be back soon.

The hop all but disappeared when I put in H&R SS springs and 315 Pilot Sports. I added alum diff bushings after that and the only time I get hop is in the wet.

I'm not going to bother with any other mods. Total investment around $300-325.

LOL. Yeah, I didn't include those in the cost (only the H&R's and Nick's bushings). :-o The 315's were something like $375 each.

I was gonna say!


The brackets seem to be working very well so far.

So far I have done springs, subframes, drs, and the brackets. If it is warm out, there is zero hop... Will have to test in the cooler weather (if we ever get any.)

Next on my list is some adjustable shocks.
