what headers to buy?

All pretty much make simular HP.

I personally have coated BBK's. I like them and still look like new, but you have to pull off the passenger side to remove the trans/clutch/etc.

Go with a mid length or Hooker LT if you want clearence.

I have a set of MAC and I like them. Make good power and are cheap! I had them coated though because I originally didn't get the coated version for some reason.

MAC longtubes will destroy your engine. They have a well know oil slag problem. Do not buy them.

If I were buying long tubes they would be Hooker's or BBK's.

I have heard of people having issues with them, but I have had them on my car for 3 years with no issues, and if you don't have tons of money to spend you do what you got to do.

Do bother with shorties, not worth the time or money on a 4.6.

Agreed. The stock cobra header is nearly as effective as the FRPP shorty. The only shorty header that really picked up any power was the JBA. But once again, I wouldn't put that on unless you were running a class that required it.
