Jlt Vs Kn Fipk

What do you guys think?

I was going to get the JLT Cold air in the fender... but I don't like the idea of a giant ass filter hanging upside down in my fender... so now it is either the JLT RAI or the K&N FIPK.

What do you recommend?
I also want the blower whine louder... and I know the CAI in the fender actually may quiet it because the air has more travling distance.

JLT RAI is less expensive and supposedly ives mre hp, but everyone is still saying to o with KN. ?

I love my K&N.. So K&N is my choice..

I bought the K+N for a few reasons.

1. K+N's test results

2. Ease of installation

3. No worries about filter getting crudded up with water and crap in the fender.

If you still dont want to, then Id pick the KN over the RAI

The MAF placement is up near the TB which allows for up to a 12" Filter to fit in the Fenderwell :cool1:

If that's true, won't it be catching heat from the passenger side head? The idea is to keep the filter right next to the opening of the fenderwell.

ONLY the MAF is up near the TB.... then there is the typical JLT tube into the fenderwell where the filter sits. Heres a crummy pic of the prototype:

They better fix that. The crankcase vent goes right into the MAF, and the MAF lays right up again the engine head.
