Gear RPM/MPH Calculations

For those of you looking thinking about changing your final drive. I have put together some stats of engine RPM/Gear/Speed for the T-56 tranny on the 2003/2004 cobras. If you want the complete graphs in 100rpm increments please email me.



Note that speeds in 6th gear may be crazy. This is due to the fact that Horse Power, Torque, and Aerodynamics and not in the equation.

2nd 1.78
3rd 1.30
4th 1.00
5th 0.80
6th 0.63

I'm going to be heading down 57 to Lyle's house today so I'll get some RPM readings at various speeds with my 4.10s.

The numbers are above in my short list above. Unless you are running different tire sizes it will change a bit.

I was looking at your chart. Very interesting. I'm just thinking of getting some RPM readings at 60 and 80mph so people have a good idea what 4.10s will do RPMwise in 6th gear at highway speeds.

Six gear at 60 mph = 2050rpm
Six gear at 80ph = 2700rpm

Cool, my actual numbers were 2000 at 60 and 2725 at 80. Very close.

What about 3.55's, stock tire size, and taking 3rd gear up to 7,000 rpm.

222 mph assuming a 6500rpm redline

Also assuming of course you have enough power to pull your "brick" through the air at that speed in an overdriven gear.
