Now these guys "cleaned up" BOTH front rotors with a whizzer wheel and when you break the car f'ing trembles now.

The car was dropped off with 2009mi on it. We got it back with 2032mi.... So whoever drove the car that far HAD notice the shaking/vibrations under breaking.

I'm pissed.

Can this be for real? Am I just dealing with the wrong service dept? Will I have better luck going elsewhere? If the guys at BVF just don't want to service the car... or more importantly don't know HOW to... I'm better off going elsewhere anyhow.

What say you, TCG?
When we have srt8s come in with problems like this they usually warranty it even if it's brembos. They do it all the time. Arnt the brakes covered under warranty for 12/12k? They should have no problem at all fixing it.

The brakes are covered for 12mo 18k IIRC....

At this point, they're going to have to make it right. This is just plain unacceptable.

I feel yeah. I've had good experience at golf mill ford. That's another good place. I believe that's pretty far of a drive for you though!

I'd be pissed. There is no reason why they should drive the car 23 miles.

What in the hell is a whizzer wheel? Is that a fancy name for a cup brush?

@ #3, they ran out of excuses to not spend any money to get replacement items for you. Apparently 11+ mustangs don't need brake jobs because it takes a lot of work and hoops be jumped through for normal wear and tear items that need to be replaced... what a fucking joke

@ #4, worst idea EVER.... unless its REALLY bad, you should be able to get the rust off after a round of spirited driving... do NOT let them take a wire wheel or whatever the hell they are calling it to the rotor, its gonna get F-ed up

Just saw this update...

Did they wash the car for you? Honest question

I'd bet lots of monies they had a porter or maybe even the tech go out and beat the shit out of the car to get the rust off and then the morons washed the car and didn't let the brakes cool down... don't ask me how I've seen this happen or know how often it happens... but thats probably what happened

Was thinking the same thing... Wondering if you also looked at the rotors when you picked it up to see if there were any marks from the dealer using that flapper like wheel on them, 23 miles is a helluva long way to go with a car when you're just servicing a brake complaint.

no marks what so ever. there's a lip on the edge of the rotors too, as in like where the pad has now recessed into the rotor.

Do the rotors have a blue/purple tint to them? Sounds like they have been overheated and warped.. What does the brake fluid look/ smell like?

Yep...

When my dads SRT8 was under warranty, they always fixed and addressed the brake issues. I know I brought the car in complaining about brake dust. You seriously had to clean the wheels after every drive. They replaced the pads and rotors with a "updated design". It was a bit better but still alot of dust. I figured this was just because of the Brembo performance pads, and thats exactly what they told me the 2nd time I brought it in. Service manager said switch to aftermarket pads After a bit of reasearch on the forums I found performance brake pads that others were replacing the stock brembos with to solve the dust issue. I forgot the brand, but the dealer installed them for free.

The most miles our dealer puts on a car is 4-5 miles unless cust states u must take car on hwy. I'm not understanding why they won't replace the brake pads or discs the car has 2000 miles. Take it to victor ford

Sitting at Wickstrom Ford now. They're shocked to see the brembo brakes on a GT.

Very cool people here so far and its my first time through their doors. Such a huge improvement.

I agree with Fish. Driving that many miles is just rediculous. I never leave my car at the dealer due to this same shit. Can't trust most of em. On the other hand if you want to drive a couple hours to Anderson Ford in Clinton. They are pretty legit. Only people I will let touch my mustang and that is an hour drive for me one way.
Last time I had my oil changed I asked them if they could hear a exhaust leak tick. They took that shit way too serious. Had the manager of the service dept as well as the big dog of the dealership out there when I got my car asking me I felt they did enough to take care of the tick. They took me out to the garage with the car on the lift and had me inspect that shit myself after they had gone over it. Then asked me to test drive it for myself to make sure I was happy. If guess some places value service over others. This is a smaller town dealership, so I find hey take their service vey serious. I ofte. Wonder if bigger city places don't care as much about service as they do volume?
