All Ford did was build somewhat of a dragcar in their factory and called it a "production" car. I don't even think it's street legal. C6 ZO6's can do 10's with a D/R stock. One guy even got it to the 10's from the factory! W/out a slick and street legal! This is not an accomplishment IMO. Put a slick on the ZO6 or ZR1 and it'll mess that Cobra up, stupid claim by Ford IMO. They went too far to claim it.

What does it run, and how much does it cost?

They produce 50 a year for racing. Sounds like a factory production car to me. No different then the 60's/70's cars

Oh and why can't a factory racecar be a "production" car? It is produced in the same factory as the rest of the Mustangs.

I miss read that article. It's capped at 425(some said 430) but it's capable of waaaay more uncorked.

A 4.0 liter whipple on top of a 5.4 liter would make some serious power if it weren't being used for a sanctioned race class.

Doesn't this defeat the purpose of a production car? In most other series a manufacturer must produce a certain amount of roadgoing cars in order for their "production car" to be eligible
