I agree w panda. To get this "$17,000" car to run low 13's you gotta essentially kill its driveablity by gearing the crap out of it and putting drag suspension on it. An $8,000 ls1 f-body can do high 12's with nothing more than intake and exhaust. Not impressed, this is normal for a 2011 car with 300hp.

The difference between this V6 Mustang and old F-bodies is a factory warranty. You can be going 12's with a factory warranty instead of throwing money down the drain WHEN something bites the dust on the F-Body

Plus it isn't falling apart. The windows probably go up and down, the roof probably doesnt leak, the headlight motor gears don't break(don't have any duh!) and interior panels don't rattle around...oh and people can sit in the back seat!

So essentially, the v6 mustang is a car thats as fast as an ls1 f-body but does it with 2 less cylinders, but cost 10g more. Idk but if its me, I think I'd rather own 2 cars w that 10g rather than have a nicer interior.

While your GTO gets barely over 20 mpg, will run 13's but with 2 liters more displacement, NO warranty, plus there are still a TON of people selling their USED GTO's for more than this new Mustang.
