Dunno how my having an auto makes spending 1900 bucks on a junk turbo setup a better option

Especially since YOU have an auto as well.

If youre gonna go turbo, you're almost better off piecing together your own kit. Its not as expensive as you would think. And you have control of what comes in your "kit".

Talk about what? His setup (talking turbo parts only) is about as cheap as it comes but the actual parts on the car are solid. Hes just had bad luck in other areas.

I ment talking to him about piecing kits together and what to get an all. Wasnt taking his bad luck into account. Just about parts and where to get them and all. I think a large cam head and nitrous setup is more appealing at this point to me

The way I was considering? The heads cam nitrous?? if so yea. I was thinking large vindicator cam with trick flow heads and a 150 shot to start. With obv the stall and trans built. Thinking that setup should drop me into the 10's

This is true, although I will say with all the bad rap on3 has gotten it does look like they have made an effort to adjust/fix things. Personally I would buy the kit upgrade to the turbonetics turbo and just buy all new clamps, wastegate and BOV, and itd pry still be cheaper than a hellion kit, than the only thing youd really have to worry about are the welds.
