I bought one recently, not sure if you guys still make them but maybe you can help me out. I had a hard time getting the freeze plug out and now the hole is not completely smooth on the inside. I also had to grind some of the weld of so the support bracket sits flat. when i have everything all tightened down it is not sitting completely flat like the other side that is held down by 2 bolts. I am afraid that the combination of the two may cause it to leak and i don't want to put the trans back in unless I am confident that it wont. Any help would be appreciated.

Lyle and Dan were the tech guys with our company. Dan, unfortunately, passed away and I have no idea where Lyle is. I can only suggest what has probably already occurred to you with getting the hole as smooth as possible so the mod fits properly. Sorry I can't be of more help.

One of the other guys here may be able to put you in touch with Lyle to get better tech info. Good luck.

What ain't no country I ever heard of
The directions for the install are on Dereks site, also on Dougs site too. Just use the Oring, dont use any sealer of any kind, its not needed. As stated in the install directions, you just need to trim the corner off of the bracket with a die grinder.....NOT grind the tig weld that was leak checked prior to sale. The dried glue holding the freeze plug in is most easily removed by just taking a small screwdriver and carefully scraping without gouging the hole, then follow that up with some scotchbrite.
