Need new belt.

Gates from Napa. Check the tensioner and all idler bearings for wear, as those are usually the causes of chirping

Do you have the stock lower pulley? Has the inside belt ever been changed? How many miles on your vehicle? Check the inside belt and bearings too......

Car only has 16, 800 miles, I don't think the belt has ever been changed. lower pulley is stock.

An idler bearing can go bad in that mileage, or 9 years later.

I had a Gates belt on my 03 for 10 days and it chirped like there was a bird under the hood. I switch to a Gator Back belt and the chirp went away....and, the belt gives a little bit of a whine that kind of sounds like a gear drive. I loved it!

Did you clean the belt and pulleys before swapping it out?
They can get oil or whatever else on them during mfg, shipping, sitting on the shelf, etc.

I wouldn't necessarily recommend a Gatorback belt if you have a non-slip blower pulley.

I had one on my car for a while and yes, it makes a whistling sound which is cool at first, but it eventually becomes annoying, especially at highway speeds. I just changed to a Gates belt a couple days go and now have peace and quiet.

Takes Zacks advice go with the gates. I have always used gates on my blower cars and never had a problem

Maybe a Stupid question, but without taking the old belt off, how would I know what size to get? I'm running a 2.76 upper, stock lower and the 4 idlers. Want to replace my belt since I'm guessing it's the original one still.

You need a 75.1 inch belt.
