Maybe a dumb question.....Coil Overs with stock k

I have been running a Maximum Motor Sports Tubular K Member with A Arms and Coil overs for about 2 year now. I recently notice that some of the welds are splitting or cracking for some reason.
Any way, i plan on going back to my stock K Member and up grading the arm bushings, ball joints, and some steering rack poly bushings.
My question is can i still run my coil over setup with a stock k member and stock A arms?
I could not find any information about this kind of setup. Let me know what you guys think.

Don't see why not. Its a direct fit for a shock.

Not the same kind of car, but my buddy runs qa1 coilovers on stock k/control arms on his T/A

I don't see why not, you just delete the springs that normally would sit between the k and control arm

have you contacted maximum motorsports about the cracking?? first time ive heard of one failing like this. i want to go this route in the future makes me hesitant now..

mm has a ton of info on there website. went to check and it looks like you can still use the coilover kit on the stock k-member. i'd send them an e-mail to make sure, their tech support is very good...

I should have given more information about the situation. I think i may have bottomed out the car at one time and chipped away some powder coat. There was a good amount of rust on the cracked welds. If i had the money I would buy it again. MM makes some very nice products. So this issue was most likely my fault. I will be placing an order with MM in about a week. Good People.

MM is top dollar, top of the line equipment. Id let them know about the cracking welds and leave out anything that might have happen to the car. You might end up would a brand piece out of the deal.

Until they ask for you to take pics so they know what to improve so it doesnt happen again...

yes, we have installed coil overs with stock k and a arms. you do need caster/camber plates though for proper alignment, and there may be some contact issues with the spring and the shock tower, but they can be corrected.

what i don't understand is why anyone would want to run an aftermarket k-member on the streets of illinois, especially around Chicago.
They are an asset if you are racing the car, but other than that, i see them as purely a liability.

Yeah, I see your point. That's why I'm going back to stock.

I have been running MM coil-overs with their upper strut mount, and stock k-member and a-arms [with better bushings and ball joints] for about 3 years now. works fine.
