Default front spindle lock nut

Do you have to replace the nut that holds the front wheel bearing hub on when you replace the hub and how many foot lbs of torque dose it take to tighten it and where can you buy a new one and what is the cost of the nut thank you Ron

i usually never replace. they are reusable nuts

I dont think you have to replace it, torque spec is 258 ft/lb. You can buy new one from tousley ford or any ford dealer. good luck

Use red loctite and torque to factory specs.

if you need a new nut you probably need a new grease cap too

I replaced both front wheel bearings and had the same debate but I went ahead and reused.......btw if you dont have a 36mm socket and torque wrench you can rent them from Autozone
