Default Powder coating kb plenum.

Is it ok to powdercoat the plenum inlet on the kenne bell's? The reason I ask is I know powder coating is baked and I don't wanna damage something internaly on the blower in such high heat.

I wanna match the ugly cast look plenum black to the rest of the blower.

Take it off and give it to the powdercoater.

It will be just fine.

Can I remove the inlet without taking off the blower? If so that would be great than I don't have to worry about buying new gaskets they r quite pricey....

No need to remove the blower.. Inlet comes right off.

The factory SC gasket and intake gaskets are reuseable.

I just looked at it you can't get to the bottom bolts without taking off the sc. Do you have a picture of the back of your 2.2 handy?

You can take off plenum from Eaton easy but good luck doing on a TS,even if you take it off you will have a crazy hard time to put it back on .

Does this help - I used it when doing my EGR delete and re-routing the lines.

Yes it helps thanks. It just pretty much confirms that I have to pull the blower off. There is no room with it on the motor. I think I might just have the plenum painted black without taking it off the supercharger. I'll just have the blower part taped off.
