Hey guys! got some updates on the project, Havnt gotten anymore welding done but did receive my fuel system from Glenn's Performance! AWSOME KIT Got it mocked up, with the fuel pumps (gona wait to install till after all welding is done)

But i took the fuel tank cover and we used the same paint to paint the car, on the cover LOOKS AWSOME kinda sad its going underneath the car

also got a Lethal performance over flow tank from a member on modular fords not sure if its gona fit under my hood right now, but we shall see

and this is what the car looks like right now, with poor 15 (rust stopper/sealer) covering the inner fender areas, and started putting filler on the holes Gimpy filled

Well due to my roll cage, i needed to relocate my battery relocation kit (go figure right!)

so i choose to put it into the spare wheel well (since i cant use the spare even if i wanted to with the big and littles)

After looking at it i noticed the sheet metal was a little thing, and IF i did get in an accident i felt like the batter would rip right out of the floor and go right through my dash/me. I also needed to grind down the hold down for the spare, and make a shim for the other side so that the box would lay flat

I went to lowes and bougth 90 degree steel metal pieces, and also some flat pieces with bolts. Basically the only tools i needed was the grinder/cutter, and a drill to complete this job

Then i cut them so that the one edge was flat and could lay down easily (look at pictures since i am having trouble verbalizing what i am trying to say)

This allowes it to go in the wheel well, lay flat on the floor, and still conect to the batter box for security.

The rear piece was alittle longger then the front piece.
after this i cut the flat pieces to go along the length of the battery box for extra security.

I have not finished the project yet, but so far i am 2.5 hours into it, with $45 spent on the metal, and bolts.
Then i drilled holes through the batter box, and the 90 degree pieces to connect the 2

and a few of the cage

ENJOY, will update tomorrow when/if i finish!

Well i just put the tools away on the project (been going at it for over 12 hours today, if only i got paid for this!)
Started out by finishing up my battery box relocation safety kit item...

Then as i am finishing that ups shows up with a box full of goodies! (but i was unaware that a bunch of things i had ordered were on backorder )

So i replaced the oil pic up on the engine (which had been bent slightly in the accident.

Then decided that my engine stand looked tiered/like it was about to brake so i made a custom wooden craddle (using my brand new engine mounts) to attach the k member to the engine and rest it in the craddle

after that my welder bud came over, and we ended up finishing 99% of the cage!

and a fun pic i like!

Removal of the smog stuff. Really helped clean up the engine
(before)

(after)

Paint and battery box finished

Getting the engine in the bay!

At this point my buddy and i just lifted the car over the engine and rolled it in! my dad was on his knees positioning the jack stands durring this process
(engine is not all the way maited up yet)

and my little helper!
