Anyone here running methanol injection?

I'm looking into running methanol injevtion as opposed to running race gas (too expensive/too impractical IMO)

Is anyone here running meth/injection, and if do can you tell me your experience, and set-up, boost, etc. Also, who tuned the car for you with the meth/injection.

I've put about 40k-50k miles on my car using methanol. The setup is still on the car, but I haven't used it since April of 2007.

Hell Yeah !

I run it mostly for peace of mind because it works so good against detonation.

The performance kick in the seat is just a bonus. I've been running Snow Performance for close to 10 years - firm believer.

I have been around it for about 15 years. My buddies with GN's ran it back in high school. Worked well for them. I ran it on my Capri as well. Intake temps came down a lot. And the extra octane was helpful as well. I never had any failure with the system and the nozzles never plugged up. I would just clean them every winter as part of my basic maintenance. It was a older Snow progressive kit with a dual nozzle set up (325 & 626 nozzles). I ran up to 20# of boost with the Vortech before I sold the blower. My combo was tuned by Bob Kurgan.

If you can't use a air to water or air to air intercooler for reasons of price, packaging it in the car, etc, the meth is a great alternative.

I use AEM methanol injection. Had Bob Kurgan tune it.

When I had Bob tune my car, I was told they have marginal gains on a twin screw or roots type blower. If the car is intercooled there is no point on running it. On a turbo or centrifugal blower yes if its hot air.
