+1 I've seen some amazing tunes on E85, however dont you have to run bigger injectors then with regular gasoline?

30% more. I have 1680cc injectors in my car, and I'm concerned that may not be enough fuel unless I bump up fuel pressures a bit.

Well, keep in mind I'm only using 4 of them, but I'm paying 15-18% less than 87 octane gas for each gallon, but only using 30% more fuel. So I'm spending the same (approximately) money per mile as if I were using 93 octane gas, instead of $10/gal 116, which is still 5% or so more fuel hungry per mile than regular gas.

In the end, the 116 still is a hair more detonation resistant than the e85, but for 1/3 of the price, I'll pull 2 degrees of timing, and still make more power than a neon could ever use on the street.

This is true, but for a DD it is just not the best decisions, less mpg and it just wastes resources, but I guess we can grow it so why not burn it? Oh yeah, because it could feed people.

Good racing fuel if you are set up for it and wish to spend the $$$.

Since I dont feel like upgrading my fuel system, Ill spend the extra up front for 100 at the pump since that is all I will need.

If you're building a fuel system anyway, it's great. If you're not, then I'd just burn gas, like I do in my DD.

And my DD is a white 99 R/T neon, and the fast car is a red 04.

good luck. you need a HUGE fuel system.

my buddy has a E36 M3. fully built. GT42R with e85. made 710whp on 1.5 bars. and this car is going to be boosting 42psi on e85 at full race mode. his fuel system is monsterous. i guess in WOT his injectors just stay open the whole time.

Ah, that's not good. Fuel injectors are not designed to stay open like that, and that causes damage to them. I've heard of them sticking open and burning out.

I'd like to meet that car. Sounds like a vicious drag setup.
