Seems like dry ice is the way to go from what I've heard through others. It's better than heating it supposedly and possibly risking warping.

it can definately go either way, if your comfortable with handling it - it probably would be easier. if you do end up doing it weigh it out and post how much weight savings you get, id be interested to know

Where do you get the dry ice? What's the procedure?

wayyy back when i did my thru da floor subframes I picked up some dry ice at a 31 flavors ice cream store I think.
Worked like a charm.

just use a heat gun and a paint scraper.. i filled a big black garbage bag doing it to my car... it was worth atleast 30lb
