01 mustang ABS LIGHT CAME ON

Hey guys i have a 01 mustang 3.8 and i swapped the 7.5 rear end out with a 8.8 and 410s and when i did this my abs light came on and the traction control is always off. The car runs fine i just think the abs sensor on the 8.8 may be bad? Any ideas? thanks

You need to adjust the gear ratio in the computer, or else the light will always be on.

It should!
The abs light will always trip if one or more tires are turning faster than the other tires. Its all computed based off the gear ratio programmed into the pcm.

Yeah, but all the wheels should be turning at the same speed, even with the new rear-end and gears. The wheel speed sensors are near the axles.

My opinion is that there is another problem. Maybe check the cables going to the speed sensors to be sure they're OK. Also check the sensors themselves to be sure they aren't damaged.

Maybe you just knocked something loose.
