03 GT Foglight problem

I just noticed the other day that both foglights are out. I ruled out a bad bulb, b/c the odds are high that both burned out, and the dash light is still illuminated when depressed. It is on an underhood fuse, so you can't check it visually. What do you guys think it could be??

i bet it is bad bulbs.

i replaced a burnt out light bulb on the fog once. An hour later after replacing that fog light bulb, the other one burnt out.

Bulbs, short in a wire, bad ground, switch.

Check the easy stuff first. Pull a bulb and see if the glow wire is fried.

just go to autzone and ask them what foglight you'll need, thats one thing they cant possibly fuck up.

If you want silverstars get the 893. Same wattage and voltage as the 899, and same style connector. They don't make a 899 silverstar as well.

I checked em' yesterday and it does look like they're burned out. Thanks for the info, guys.

when i had my gt the lights burned out because there was a crack in the plastic housing and water was pooling in there. i pulled it and cleaned it out and sealed the crack with some RTV. i replaced the bulb and it worked until the day the car was totaled.

the problem is the plastic housing gets hot from the bulb and if you hit a puddle and the housing cools to fast it can crack. it wouldnt be so much of an issue if they used better plastics or metal / glass.
