Question about Tires

Hey guys, I have a question about some times I might be buying from a local guy. They are 315/35 or 40/17 Nitto 555 DR's. He says there is some life left and that they are above the wear bars. For $150, do you think this is a good deal for the pair?

Also, how many passes and how long should/would these tires last in their current state?

BTW- No pics of the tread, sorry!

If they are above the wear bars then they are about 1/2 way worn. You can get brand new ones with 6/10's tread for $325 so the price for these is just about right. You can most likely get a few thousand miles out of them on the street and a good amount of track passes until the strings start showing. On the street they are probably good for 4 - 5,000 miles. Keep your burnouts short and i'm guessing that you can get 20+ passes out of them.
