WTF, need some electrical help!!!

Ok, so the ranger has quite the oddity going on, the radio loses power the the speakers if it is put into gear (Park or N comes on fine)

Nothing changed that I know of friday it was fine and saturday, not so much.

Ideas? I have checked all the conections I can think of but what would be connected to the nuetral switch and the radio?

Have you driven it in alot of rain lately?

It does sit outside, but i have not driven it through any more then just the light to moderate rain. I have deffinitly not put it through any deep puddles or flood waters either.

Right now I have the battery off and letting it sit, I probally need to recheck all the connections on the trasmission when it get light out.

Sounds like a bad MLPS. Manual Lever Position Sensor. Common on Taurus's

I have been told that it is called a DRT sensor for the rangers, it is a combo neutral saftey switch and gear selection switch on these transmissions, looks to be about 40 bucks so I am going to grab one and see if that solves it.

LOL @ the guy whose lights and horn go off at the same time!

Found the problem, water somehow got into the fuse box, used the leaf blower to dry out the connection and wire brushed out corrosion on the connections

No, no it does not. I plan I putting the hose to it this weekend and trying to find this leak.
