Is there any difference between OEM ford gears and Ford Racing gears?

ford racing gears used to be made by ford
then ford outsourced them to motive, but supposedly ford holds motive to higher standards than motive does for their own gears
this is all speculation though, I've never seen hard evidence to support this.
They also say ford motorcraft gears> ford racing gears, which is possible judging by the large price gap between the two.

I just talked to a vendor on another forum that got me a new frpp 4.10 for 130 bucks new and I cant remember exactly what he said but it sounded like ford lost some contract with a supplier and then motive started making them. Now they have got it back with a new supplier or something and they are alot cheaper so ford is passing down the savings and discounting them....so basically motive is not making them any more
