So a month ago i read the book The Driver: My Dangerous Pursuit of Speed and Truth in the Outlaw Racing World by Alex Roy. Pretty good book, shows what goes into breaking the cross country record these days. I think he did 31:07, which is a good hour better than the last record.
But here is the thing: I was just on the Gumball 3000 website just seeing how much this shit actually is. New registration is 60,000 pounds, or 115,000 USA dollars. I was expecting it to be expensive, but jesus!! I guess me and the SVO will never be in it.
PS: If i had the money i would do it every year, this sounds like a lot of fucking fun. Party all week and drive real fast in your super exotic.
