Diagnosis por favor

I have begun hearing a nice clunking coming from the right rear tire of my SS. It happpens every time I hit the smallest bump in the road. I jacked it up to check out the suspension, everything seemed tight and in order. Then I grabbed the tire and gave it a shake and it seemed to pull towards me. So, I pushed it in and then back out again, and it has about 1/4in of play in it. The whole wheel, rotor, caliper slides a 1/4in in and out of the axle tube. Im no mechanic, so what do you think is my problem?

axle bearing could be really worn. if it was the diff/c-clip you'd be able to pull the whole thing all the way out.

hmmm...it only has 33k on th clock, but I did put a 4.10 in there. Could that cause premature wear on the bearing? She has def been driven hard for those 33k though.
