Thinking about upgrading the G5 exhaust. Not for sound but for flow. It has the 2.2 and I hear the LSJ exhaust is a good upgrade. The 07s received the header so I would only need the DP and Catback.

Stock 2.2 exhaust is 1 7/8"
Stock LSJ exhaust is 2 1/2"

I found this thread with a sound comparison and it doesn't sound drastically different.

Thoughts?

Thanks,

Nope, stock exhaust is always cheap, should be able to get the full catback for under a hundred, easily.

Gains? More or less looking to open up the back end, since the pipe is crush bent the stock gets tiny and chokes up. Once the intake and exhaust mods are done should easily net 2 mpg or 3, and maybe more if it ever gets tuned.
