Brakes

So I changed my front and back brakes like a month ago and the rotors were in good condition so I didnt change them.. when I go to stop all the time you hear squeeking and it sounds like the brakes are worn out or something.. Did I do something wrong?? I did brembos in the front and hawks in the back.. Should I have changed rotors to drilled/ slotted???

I didnt know they made a Brembo kit for a Grand Prix and I dont think they make brembo pads. You could have installed them wrong.

Most "performance" brake pads make a little noise, I guess its normal. I got Hawks on my GTP they squeak all the time, the Hawks on my TA didnt though, weird.

my pads squeek on and off. check the rotors for scoring. if you see like visual grooving, then something is up

did you apply dampening material to the back of the pads? ie. orange or blue antisqueal

No I didnt.. I think its comming from the back hawks.. Im almost sure of it...

rotor could be slightly warped and rubbing against the pad....

Metallic Or Semi-Metallics (forgot which one Hawks are) eat up rotors in general. And likewise Drilled and or slotted rotors eat pads.

If you don't get the rotors machined or put new ones on they are going to squeak.
