i think my spedometer is off. i am doing 2000 rpm's in 3rd gear at 35mph with 3.55 gears in the rear. does this sound about right??

I was rollin 35mph @ 2.175 3rd tonight. This is a guesstimate, but seriously, I did pay attention after I read your post. This is with a 3.73.

I have noticed though that there is a radar gun in my neighborhood and it seems to be about 3mph lower than my speedometer.

I think Ford is underestimating your MPH. This also happened in my expedition...

ACTUALLY, I can get an exact number for you.

There is a way with the 2000's to give you an exact MPH/RPM/engine code on your odometer.

It's been a while since I've done it, but I think I...

1. Hold the tripometer button down before you put the keys in the ignition.

2. Wait for 2 sec.s with your...

Yeah, pretty close. Are you still on stock wheels?

Your speedo is going to be off if you swap your rear ring&pinion....
