Low oil?

Well I have 65K on the GTP now and the other day I had the Low Oil light come on. WTF Im have about 3k and probably a lil less miles since I changed my oil last. (Mobil 1 syn) I popped the hood and the oil was pretty dam low. I dont notice any leaking oil under the car but I will be checking more closely now. If nothing is leaking what could be the cause of this? Any suggestions on what to check for under the hood? (specific locations) My car has been using mobil 1 since i brought it brand new! Any help is appreciated.

if you dont see a leak on the exterior it may be eating oil. with low mileage i doubt its your rings...check your pcv valve.

check for TSBs on oil consumption? LSx motors are notorious for it... i dunno about 3800's tho...

Check the oil pressure sensor. I believe I have a SLOW leak there.

x2 too I was burning oil fast and had no signs of leaks and I replaced my PCV valve and it has gone away since.

How often are u suppose to change the PCV valve. I remember changing it out a long time ago. Maybe 35k on the clock ago. dunno
