Im installing a new alpine cd player..
will the factory amps still work if i do this?
I have an Alpine working with my factory Mach460 amps for the "mids" and "highs" (the factory speakers) and an auxillary 200x200 PPI amp powering a pair of free-air 12's for the "lows".

Like somebody already said, unless you address the bass, you'll probably be disappointed with the sound. My system is sort of a compromise since I didn't want to add a ton of weight, but the sound is acceptable and a ton better than the regular Mach 460.

My $0.02.

» Your vehicle is equipped with an upgraded sound system. We recommend that you purchase an adapter to eliminate extensive rewiring when you install your new stereo. Without this adapter, you might have to replace your entire factory sound system, including the speakers.
