So i finally made it to Rt 66 raceway in Joilet IL.

brought my lil bro and the GF. they spectated

had a lil ovr 1/2 tank of petrol

no wieght reduction. just a CAI and 06 hood. other wise stock as a rock. on street tires

04 LS1 350 HP GTO 4 speed auto.

Uh, no. I don't know what's wrong with your car. When I had my SS, bone stock down to the filter I never ran worse than a 13.8 and my best time was a 13.40. I achieved the 13.4 with a 2.15 60'. The real problem is the MPH, an LS1 Goat should be trapping around 104 bone stock, I'm not sure why urs is barely trapping 100mph. I would get it dynoed, just doesn't seem right.

I don't think that's unheard of as far as stock 04's. The GTO is about 300 pounds heavier than a Camaro, and depending on driver weight, I would think the times are about average. But I dunno, maybe I'm talking out of my ass.

BTW, those numbers look very similar to my times

nice. but i've seen a stock gto ls1 run a 13.2. but not bad for a first time at the track.

work the 60 down to maybe a 1.9 or 1.8 and ull do mid 13s

I think thats a better than average time for a stock LS1 GTO. Most ive seen go low 14's. LS1 F-Bodys are different than LS1 GTO's and are faster stock vs stock.

thats right about on for a stock ls1 gto really... dont forget its first time at the track... so with some work, your looking at mid 13s for sure... and yes, the gto is heavier than the camaros

yep sounds about right. GTO's are way heavier, if it were a 6-speed it might have been lower.... might, lol. nice times though

MOST A4 gtos are faster in the 1/4 than the M6s. Fbods run a lot faster then gtos cause of the wieght, solid rear axel, and gear ratios...

average stock 04s are 13.8

I dont know how you can say that. With both cars having good drivers the 6-speed will ALWAYS be faster than the auto. It will put down more on the dyno also.

If you have the traction, brake torquing can cut huge time off your e/t

Yeah that sounds right to me, last year i ran a 13.7 with my stock auto SS. I was gonna go to the track but i got called into work, congrats on the 13's though

haha its got the motor to run 11's but the chassis to maybe run 16's....
