Any Car Audio Junkies?

I’ve been bumpin the same two 10-inch MTX Blue Thunders, sealed box and 600-watt Kenwood amp for over four years now (still sounds awesome) but everything weighs so damn much.

Are there any lightweight subs and boxes, or should I just go with a single 12-inch or something? I don’t want to give up any sound quality but also don’t want to be lugging around heavy-ass equipment in the trunk anymore. Any thoughts?

i got 2 12" memphis carbon fiber subs - but magnets are still heavy as hell and so is the box - but hey look cool!

Can you buy a fiberglass box, or is a custom deal only? I'm going to dig on that a bit, it may be part of the solution, but I have a feeling the subs are the culprit.

i have a sub in a small box and an amp that i bought off someone 3 or 4 years ago that i never hooked up i dont even know if it works

the subs will always be the heaviest part of any system no matter what box they are in
