What kind of project-car ideas you got in your head?

Basically as the title says...

anything brewing that you want to do... ordinary or out of the ordinary?



for me...
I want to get like a 60's chevy II... four door though...

weird. yes. but continue...

drop it. protouring style... lil rake.. 17s er so up front.. 18s in the back



drop in a 3800. twin turbo. rwd.


i want to get 25 mpg... and be quick. and not be the same old same old nova with a 350.


those cars arent priced insane yet.. and i could do what i want to do to it, for relatively cheap...

2. Mid 90's Buick Estate Wagon, Black paint, tints, 18-20" chromes, bagged to the ground
3. 87-88 Thunderbird Turbo Coupe, all the goodies, FMIC, Volvo Twin cam head, T3/T4 swap, etc

1. 1965-1966 Chevy Biscayne= Bare bones, 2 door post coupe with a 572BB and 4 speed, Hotchkis suspension, rolling on 17" Wheel Vintiques Ralley wheels

2. 90-94 Chevy Lumina 4 door= Turbo 3800, etc etc etc

3. 83-88 Monte Carlo SS=383, 4 speed, entire suspension upgraded, 18" chrome IROC's,

4. 97 Oldsmobile LSS(factory L67)= Gen5, intercooled, cammed, 42.5#'ers, spray, built trans, headers

I think that's bout it, that I can think of.

I've got an 84 Crown Vic. I want to start by blacking everything out, flat black, leather black interior, limo tints all around including the wndshield, black 20's, black trim, etc etc. Haven't figured out what to do with the engine yet though.

Thats one of mine.

1. Take my Grandmas 97 Vic (last car my grandpa ever bought before he died) and Bag it and put a Lighting powertrain into it.

2. Lotus 7 (or other similar kit car) with an SRT-4 motor prepped by Daryl Cox.

3. Dodge Ram 3500 single cab, short bed dually, sent to my Wannabe Uncle Gale Banks.

4. Put a SBC into anything i can possibly fit it into.

5. Finally, put a 911 turbo awd powertrain into a VW Beetle. Then send it off to finishing school at the Academy of RUF.

1988 Monte Carlo SS, Black with red trim, with a 454 (Something about an over-powered Brick gets me hot)

1990 Honda Civic 'wagovan' with a Evo8 drivetrain (there are a few 4G63 civics running around, Haven't seen a AWD one yet)

1986 Mercury Capri with a Terminator drive train (I like the way the fox-bodied Capri's looked)

05-07 Focus hatch, Do the 4.6 RWD conversion *ford racing sells kits for it IIRC*

and a 92-95 Civic Sedan with a RWD swap of some kind. *there is ONE powered by a Turbo Acura Legend power-train, but its riced out, I'd want it all flat-black, but something about a RWD civic sedan painted flat black just sounds like fun to me*

1.) build a remote mount turbo set up for any car really..

2.) been wanting to build up a 3400 for a really long time so i might have to do that this summer. (or maybe the newer 3500, apparently theyre mini god motors.)

3.) and the car i would probably put both of these ideas into^^ is a gen3 cavalier..the bean style. just cuz theyre light and they never came with a v6 so thats somewhat intriguing in itself.

Ive always wanted to work on a shitty looking 3rd gen camaro.

Seriously though, driving around my buddys Lightning last year threw all sorts of ideas in my head.

Either a whipple HD F150, or a LS1 or 3800 in a S10 Xtreme. Those little trucks look cool for some reason. Just no balls behind it.

I'd love a V8 conversion s-10 extreme, but i've always wondered what could be done with the 4.3. I think i'd pull it apart, bore and stroke it to 5L, get some custom aluminum heads, ect. It would cost a lot, but i've never heard of anyone doing it.

ive heard the 4.3's downfall is the fuel system..lean issues and burning valves..spend some of the money there and your golden. its basically a 350 with two cylinders hacked off so im sure theres some power potential there.
