alright so i just need someone to double check and see if im right here. im throwing 2 codes after replacing my headers / dp with hi-flow

P1133 Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) insufficient switching bank 1 sensor 1(Rear Bank)

P0420 Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 1)

now im pretty sure p0420 is because the new cat is flowing more then the stock cat, which would throw that code.

for P1133 if im reading it right (and according to my wideband) the computer isnt sweeping like it should be to get stoich (14.6) AFR. and bank 1 sensor 1 is the first O2 right? so my guess would be in open loop mode the O2 cant sweep (bad sensor?) and either goes to lean or to rich during idle (which shows on my wideband because its either in the 13's stuck at 14.1-14.4, or goes up to 15, 16 which is lean)

can anyone of the techs correct me if im wrong?

no... i mean the intake manifold gasket. i believe there was even a recall/tsb on it. that would definetly throw off your AF, as many 5.3/ 6.0 truck owners can attest to

that wont fix that.
thats for a p0171 and p0174 bank 1/2 lean codes.
the first code you posted is talking about you heater circut for your 02, bank 1 sensor 1. So thats PRE cat, sounds like a bad 02. almost all heater codes are because of a bad 02.
the 2nd one is basically saying your new cat sucks dick for money. Its not as efficient as your stock one and sensor 2 the catalyst monitoring sensor is picking that up. Its obviously seeing excessive hydrocarbons based on the fact that you dont have a stock cat. This will cause the PCM to change your AF based on that

After freeing up the exhaust flow a bit, I'd expect it to be a bit lean. 15's isn't unheard of @ idle. Have you reworked your VE table(s) yet?

I wouldn't expect your rear O2 to just mysteriously die after upgrades like this. Also, that post-cat-O2 is pretty sensitive. You could go the route I did and just disable those codes... :p

Good link on P1133:

oh i know lol. that was my guess aswell. :bigthumb:

i just cant get a new fuel pump for free from that tsb

TSBs Arent recalls. Dosent mean you automatically get free parts :)
All its for is to guide a technician's diagnosis of a vehicle. No way is it an extension of factory warranty (unless the tsb is based on a campaign in which it will explain that) I haven't been involved with this TSB at all. When i get to work ill poke around SI and see what i find about that

I've been dealing with the P1133 and P0133 codes with a new Denso O2 that was installed at the time the headers went on. As soon as I would clear the code it would pop on after driving for 5 minutes. Also, there was a code for heater circuit, too.

When the original ACDelco O2 was put back in, those codes didn't pop up anymore. I'm running the stocker right now with no codes.

yea, unless you're "in" with the dealer, which i think you car....id imagine ull have a hard time getting them to replace the rear o2 sensor at least since u removed the stock cat...who knows tho, they probably wont notice/care
